Enjoy historic clips not only from Marta as the famous Austrian actress, "Therese Krones" (1801-1830), in the film by the same name, but also the renowned and beloved Tenor Leo Slezak in the role of the actor, poet and director Ferdinand Raimund (1790-1836) who had helped the young Therese in her rise to fame.

Slezak sings the famous "Hobellied (Da Streiten sich die Leut' herum)". Lyrics by Ferdinand Raimund; 1834 Music: Conradin Kreutzer (1780-1849). Note: Hobel is a carpenter's plane - the lyrics include the phrase: "People quarrel to no end about what is happiness".
